Made from our unique Merino fabric, created using a combination of superfine Merino wool and polyester with 37.5™ Technology, all our Merino baselayers are designed to maximise temperature regulation, and offer unrivalled levels of warmth and to control odour performance during multi-day use. this jacket is a little loose but it's made of the highest quality Rab tech. I ordered a large and thankfully the pull strings make it a nice fit. I'm 6-1" 180. And ripped.

This is a great jacket, but my one caveat is the color is flat (sort of like flat paint as opposed to semi-gloss) in comparison to its online appearance. It was enough of a deal breaker for me to return it (just keep that in mind, I'm sure it's not a big deal for many of you). Otherwise the jacket is great (for the brief time I tried it on). This is one of the most comfortable synthetic insolated jackets that I have had the pleasure of wearing. It is extremely warm I wore this jacket in combination with a hard shell and base layer at 12,000+ ft while climbing to the summit of Mount Rainier in 10 degree weather with 20+ mph winds. Thanks for your question. They are on clearance due to these being previous year colors, however that item has been updated and is now called the "Inferno Shield Hoody" for 2016.
