5.0 out of 5 stars. the alpine boot of choice for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from East Coast on Wednesday, January 30, 2019I've used this for about 5 years as a warmer weather alpine and ice climbing boot. I use them down to about 20 F or -5 C, after which I move to warmer Scarpa options. It is the best single alpine boot I've had, and I've worn many Scarpa, LaSportiva, Asolo and Kayland boots over 30+ years. I was recommended them by my local retailer when replacing my hiking boots, which I mostly used as winter boots (I tend to hike in approach shoes or even sneakers.) They are a bit rigid for non-technical hiking, but they are fantastic for climbing on rock, mixed and ice terrain, up to the intermediate levels I climb. Like all boots the fit for your foot is key. I have a low volume foot, flat, a bit wide at the bunion, but pretty standard size 12 US, and these fit perfectly with a good custom insole.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great look, awkward fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by SoCal Guy from CA on Friday, September 7, 2018I have yet to use these boots in the cold wild, but they are beautiful and well made. The toe box is very tight and I had to size up to accommodate wool socks and not kill my toes when digging into ice or on a descent.
