4.0 out of 5 stars. Amazing light but still with "some" insulationVerified Buyer Reviewed by George, the traveler from West Sacramento on Sunday, May 21, 2017Yes, this item can be compressed down into almost no space, and it is both a wind shell and provides even "some" insulation as well. I personally like the lime green for visibility and it seems well-made. I wold recommend this item to anyone as long as it is on "super sale" and less than abut $40 (I got it for around $31, so I am quite pleased.).

4.0 out of 5 stars. avid hikerVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Wednesday, May 17, 2017Fits me perfectly(5'-7" 150 pounds big shoulders), great color. Very comfortable, packs very compact, and lightweight.
Great for layering. Not quite as insulated as I expected, only in front and at shoulders, nothing in arms or back. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Insulated windbreakerVerified Buyer Reviewed by David from New Mexico on Thursday, May 4, 2017Be aware, this thing is a windbreaker with a little bit of insulation...you can see through it if you hold it up to a light.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Special use pieceReviewed by Randy Oakley from Seattle and NYC on Thursday, December 8, 2016This jacket is a pretty special purpose jacket. The insulation covers only the front of the torso and front of the upper sleeves. The back and lower sleeves are simply wind proof nylon.
Very useful for backcountry skiing -- as something to put on at a high point before skiing down -- the nylon shell will shed wind and snow and the insulation on the front helping keep the chest warm without overheating. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Seems nice but arms are very shortReviewed by climberevan from Nevada on Thursday, October 27, 2016I wanted to like this jacket. It's a great weight, with just a touch of insulation on the torso & upper arms & windproof fabric down the sleeves. I think it would have made a great layer for high-exertion activities in cold temps.
However, the arms are absurdly short. I do have long arms, but compared with Patagonia, OR, & many other brands, these are at least 1.5" shorter. It's unusable for me, so it's going back.
For reference, I'm 5' 9", 145# & have a +3 ape index & 39" chest, 30" waist. I bought a M, and the torso is sized appropriately. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Just rightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lobosgris from USA on Friday, August 19, 2016I am 6'3" - 220lb, 36-37 sleeve and have plenty of length. The fit is great, but it is over 90 degrees right so I have tried. I bought it to wear under a rain jacket for the fall and spring. Seems like a nice layering piece - very light weight.
