5.0 out of 5 stars. Marmot Neothermo - Thin but very warm!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ken F from NJ on Tuesday, January 29, 2019This is a great shirt. Wear it while skiing, snowboarding or hiking, or wear it out to the gym or the mall. Fits great too!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Super NiceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Wely 95.5 fm from WI on Friday, December 21, 2018This piece is like many others, somewhere between midweight and thermal weight polartec grid fleece. Patagonia uses it for their R1 pieces and thermal weight capilene. OR uses it....Black Diamond and so on. It's super nice and can be used for a stand alone piece in cold high energy pursuits or layered in. I returned mine because the zip collar comes up high, kind of like a full turtle neck, and the arms although they have thumb holes are very long on me. With that, I just don't need another zip collar piece with such a high collar and thumb holes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great for runningVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hammer from Monticello Mn on Wednesday, December 5, 2018I love this shirt. So much so I purchased 3. The size does run small as indicated by other reviewers. I generally wear a t-shirt when I’m running or a polo it if I’m wearing it to run errands. Depending on the temperature and activity level I may or may not use a light shell - think marmot precip. Excellent as a base layer. If you want a “sweat shirt” fit and be able to layer a thermal under this then I recommend ordering 1 size up. I will warn you- you will be hot if you put a thermal under this. Some folks have commented on the arm length of this shirt- it’s designed with the thumb holes to keep your hands warm- hence the extra length.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great!Reviewed by Jonathan from MN on Monday, November 26, 2018This is a well-made, versatile fleece layer. It is a comfortable, stretchy material. A note on fit - it's an athletic/tapered fit and the sleeves and body are long. I'm tall and it works really well for me, but it might not work for everyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent, but Up-SizeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Matt from Connecticut on Thursday, November 22, 2018I recently purchased a number of pullovers, all in medium. This one was too tight, but nice enough that I returned it and ordered a large. Probably 80% of the time mediums fit me best, so my advice is to up-size if you sometimes find the size above your normal works best.

4.0 out of 5 stars. mystifying sizingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Randaid from Washington on Thursday, April 12, 2018I'm primarily submitting this as a head's up on the sizing, but first a couple of other details. I had assumed that Polartec's Power Grid fabric was all the same weight/threads per square inch but this particular fabric feels a tad thinner than the Power Grid in Patagonias' R1 top. I don't own any R1 garments so can't confirm that. Marmot must have intended this top to be a literal 'first layer' as it is snug. I returned my first size M as I was certain is was mislabeled (way too tight). I then ordered both another M and a L just in case. I kept the large, and it fits how I would expect an 'athletic' tailored M to fit. I find this bit bizarre because historically a Small has fit me pretty well with this brand's tops. Since this one is a Large, the sleeves extend to my finger tips, and the bottom hem extends down almost to the bottom of my pant fly. I'm keeping it because the Power Grid fabric is just about the warmest stuff there is for the weight and bulk.
