3.0 out of 5 stars. BadA@@ jacket with quirksReviewed by Mo from Midwest on Saturday, March 9, 2019First the quirks- Jack Wolfskin is referred to as JW 1) the zipper has been mentioned in another review. 2) sleeve length and snaps on cuff(does not apply if you have long arms). JW splits the difference on sleeve length somewhat, so say a 16-33 and a 16-36 shirt wearer can still wear this jacket. The problem is at the cuff which has two snaps to tighten it around your wrist, but really needs three for shorter armed folks like me. I took the coat to an alterations shop and the seamstress, using that small white “marker” that looks like a sliver of Ivory soap, had me tighten the cuff to where I wanted it; the result was a mark at the exact spot a third snap would go, if lined up with the other snaps. 3. The hand pockets have a flap(and single snap)closure. When you, without looking, reach for your keys, your hand slides past the pocket, then you remember the flap. I’m sure this will not be an issue the more I wear the coat, but I thought I would mention it. 4) This coat is designed to look like a “barn coat”, the light brown heavy duck cotton coats that you see many men, and some women, wear in cold weather. But the JW jacket is way better quality than a barn coat with only one quirk-and only an issue if you are actually going to use this coat as a “barn coat”, meaning do things outdoors in the coat every day that get it super dirty. I worked outdoors for years(utility company lineman)and even the tough super heavy cotton canvas duck cloth of my barncoat, overalls and, in winter, insulated coveralls, got filthy. You can use this JW jacket for dirty work, but it has an ivory colored shearling neck, the place right where all the dirt is going to be everyday.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great FindVerified Buyer Reviewed by Smitty, outdoor guy from Norther Ohio on Tuesday, February 19, 2019I found the Fort Nelson jacket at a local outfitter, but they refused to price match a quick phone search discount price. I found the jacket a Sierra for less than half the price. The shipping was well tracked and it arrived in perfect condition. The Jack Wolfskin designing is custom for outdoor action and the materials are good quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacket - two way zipper is frustratingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jim's Opinion from VA on Saturday, February 9, 2019Would have been 5 stars, but I find the double zipper to be a pain to get started. Size is accurate for XL, fits my 5-10", 220 lbs. Quality seems good, time will tell. I like the canvas, it has been brushed soft. Good wind block, adequate and thin (low bulk) insulation. Yes - I would recommend. Hope Jack Wolfskin reads these and drops the double zipper.
