4.0 out of 5 stars. hybrid mid- or outer-layerVerified Buyer Reviewed by LibbyGH from Santa Cruz Mountains CA on Friday, December 28, 2018I was excited to try this jacket, and so far, not disappointed with its thermal qualities. It is dominated by the shiny, noisy water-resistant sections, which are not very stretchy, but are lined with soft fabric that is warm against the skin. There are merino strips on sides of torso and undersides of sleeves, and this fabric is, I believe, 250 or 260 wt merino with the usual softness and stretch. Jacket has a zippered kangaroo pocket, and zippered vertical gussets on the back of the hips which I suppose would be helpful on steep inclines since the length of the jacket is low hips. For me the jacket is slightly less than perfect on account of the not-quite-wide-enough shoulders coupled with unforgiving shiny fabric. Granted, I have broad shoulders, so this won't be an issue for everyone, but I definitely won't be doing any upper body workouts in this jacket. 5'6" 120 lb size Small fits well with room for a layer underneath.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very Comfortable and SoftReviewed by SNBRDR from California on Tuesday, October 30, 2018I love this Pullover it is very lightweight and can be worn as a baselayer. The merino wool on the inside is so soft. I would definitely recommend this pullover. I wear it with a t shirt underneath for normal use and I plan to wear it under my ski jackets.
