Quick drying, warm when layered, and doesn't inhibit movement. This is a great fabric. The grid fleece is very warm for it's weight when layered under something. When it's not layered it breathes very will and dries quick because of the grid fleece. I wear it all the time for hiking and trail running in the AM.
