5.0 out of 5 stars. Fit like a glove. Easy break-in

These boots feel great the moment you slide your fiot into them. Quality build. Very easy break in. No hot spots so far. Seem to run true to size. Plenty of ankle support? Their insole is pretty good and I did not need to replace the insole with Superfeet like I do on most of my other boots. I have half a dozen pairs. I use these for daily wear and work.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Very impressed

I have been a long time user of Asolo boots, and was always very impressed. Unfortunately, the last pair I bought just isn't as durable as older models, and I was looking for a change. Found these on clearance, and decided to give them a try. I am very pleased with this purchase. Leather is good quality and supporting, and I think with a little more wearing will conform to my foot nicely. The color is much darker than shown in the image, and the arch support direct from the manufacturer is much better than what I am accustomed to. I normally immediately put a high end insert in my boots, but this pair does not need them at this time.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Could Have Been Great

Fit Great around the foot, but the tongue was too wide and rubbed my ankle bone painfully. Seemed like the ankle cuff was too wide also, but could have been from all the tongue stuffed inside it. Great fit, support and true sizing, but regretfully had to return them.

I tried and returned several pairs of winter boots. I was impressed by the looks and construction of these Zamberlan shoes. They felt good as soon as I put them on. There is plenty of toe room with a fairly square-cut toe box. The ad for them does not say they have zone lacing, but they do, a big plus for accurate tension of the laces. The traction on snow is excellent. I have not tried them on ice yet.
Problem is, I had already worn them outside before I realized that the heel cup and the grip on my heels are a bit sloppy for my narrow heels. I am finding that as the leather breaks in and I lace them tight enough, this seems to be improving. But for winter steep hiking, I like a shoe that follows my foot for edging and toe-in on steep slopes. It may be that the initial comfort is at the expense of a little stiffness needed for serious mountain hiking. We'll see what happens.

About Zamberlan

This brand’s tradition of manufacturing top-quality hiking boots actually dates back more than 85 years, when Giuseppe Zamberlan founded the company in Italy, (and it remains a family-owned business today). The history of Zamberlan boots and Vibram® outsoles are also intertwined. When Giuseppe Zamberlan and Vitali Bramani jointly developed the now-famous Vibram® all-terrain outsoles, Zamberlan hiking boots were among the first in the world to feature them. Today, Vibram® soles are standard on every pair of Zamberlan hiking boots. Other technology you’ll frequently find includes Gore-Tex® waterproof breathable inserts, Flex-STM technology for outstanding lateral support, Z-Tec anatomic lasts and many more. If you demand the absolute best, consider choosing a pair of hiking boots or mountaineering boots from Zamberlan. You won’t be disappointed.
