5.0 out of 5 stars. Solid BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Idaho on Tuesday, May 7, 2019Easy to break in. Walked/hiked 14 miles comfortably. Great on trials, not great for road hikes. Good waterproofing.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Asolo Thyrus GV Gore-Tex Hiking BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 7, 2019The craftsmanship of these boots is top shelf. I'm very pleased with them thus far. Being an all leather boot, they're going to require some break-in period but they are comfortable enough right out of the box to wear for a good part of the day. I walk on streets and up trails to the nearby AT almost daily with my boots. The last pairs I had, composite man-made mesh/leather boots, wore the soles out too quickly and one pair actually cracked open at the toe bend. I'm hoping the Vibram sole with all leather upper of these Asolo's will last longer. My feet are wide at the toes/balls so I ordered a size up since there's no 'wide'/EE option and that seems exactly right, especially with thicker socks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by NW Backpacker from OR on Tuesday, March 26, 2019Asolo makes great boots. I normally wear a 10 but the 9.5 US fits great with a mid weight wool hiking sock. I wanted a lightweight full leather upper and these fit the bill. Unlike a nubuck leather these should repel water from the start, it rolls right off, then the GoreTex liner will keep it out! The neoprene ankle area looks good and feels like a cozy, supportive wrap. I haven't been hiking in them yet, but around the house they are supportive, but flexible.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great buyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Brian from Tennessee on Sunday, February 17, 2019This is my 3 pair of Asolo boots. They last forever. I love my new pair. They feel light on my feet. They was really no break in period. Very comfortable, but maybe a tad narrow.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Not a D width.Verified Buyer Reviewed by DJ from Utah on Thursday, February 14, 2019A very well made boot, They are sharp looking also. I had to return them because they were a little to narrow. If you can wear a medium width shoe you will be happy.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Stiff...Verified Buyer Reviewed by BooDog from Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday, January 31, 2019The boots looked awesome and I was fired-up to put them to work but I just couldn't deal with the break in. The material is super stiff and where the boot bends across my toes actually worn away skin. The first day within a mile it was really bad. When I got home and removed my sock I was bleeding. Sierra is great and I have owned me Asolo boots that I loved but this pair had to go back.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Dependable Boot FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bill T. from New Jersey on Wednesday, January 30, 2019This is my fourth pair of Asolo hiking boots over the past 15 years and all have provided consistent fit and performance with minimal break-in. I have a narrow foot and the Asolo boots (this model was made in Romania) prevent heel lift while providing sufficient room for a medium pair of hiking socks. I am typically a size 10 dress shoe, but find that the size 10 1/2 Asolo provides the extra room for a heavier sock and prevents my toes from jamming into the front of the boot on steep descents.
The leather on the Thyrus GV Gore-Tex boot is lighter that that on my previous GTX 520's, and the boot is overall more supple while still providing good support. I would use this product for light to medium hiking and backpacking.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good so farVerified Buyer Reviewed by Z from New Mexico on Sunday, January 20, 2019Really enjoy these boots. I have only worn them a few times, but appear to break-in easily and are already comfortable. Fit true to size

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good light weight hiking bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tom Track from Erie PA on Sunday, January 13, 2019The hiking boots are light weight. They don’t take any time to break in. They are flexible around the ankle but still provide some support. Also they were a little lose, but that is with normal weight socks. I added an ultra Sole insole and now they fit perfit plus they now have good arch support. They are very good quality and I am very happy with them.
