4.0 out of 5 stars. A good buyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from NJ on Tuesday, April 11, 2017Bought to replace older ski jacket. Nice fit and coloring is good and waterproof rating is what looking for, just have not got it soaked. :) In either case like, but hood does not zip off. Think I want that feature to be able to wear with helmet and not get in way. Overall pleased with Marmot products and will see how this holds up.

4.0 out of 5 stars. good fit, removed liningReviewed by Kinsey from Pepperell MA on Sunday, February 12, 2017A lot of condensation on the sleeves and the nylon liner gets wet and takes a time to dry. I removed the liner and will see it that helps. Not sure how this will effect the durability?
Like the fit, pretty lightweight and excellent coverage when climbing. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. WaterproofVerified Buyer Reviewed by DucDaddy from Foothills of the Sierra on Tuesday, December 27, 2016After years of trying other products; Marmot Precip, Patagonia H2No, I was frustrated with the lack of waterproof-ness after one season. I've only had the jacket in one deluge, but it was a good one and happy to say, it passed the test.

5.0 out of 5 stars. A lot of bang for the buck!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Maineiac from Maine on Friday, March 18, 2016I was looking for a shell to use for spring skiing and climbing. I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of this jacket. It is a great shell in the wind, rain, and snow. Easy to put layers under or wear with just a t-shirt on warm days. You could spend three times as much and not get any better results.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good breathable shell--not tons of features, thoughReviewed by Someone named Sara from Wyoming on Thursday, January 14, 2016I got this jacket to work as both a shell over my down coat when skiing/mountaineering, and as a rain coat in the warmer seasons. I can't speak for the latter, but it's great as a shell. However, its fantastic breathability can be a little chilly--I would recommend with an insulating layer or windproof layer--or both--for most cold weather activity. As a 2.5 layer shell, it feels pretty durable, too. The only downside is that it only has three pockets; it's definitely geared as a minimalist shell. The angel wing movement feels a little goofy compared to other Marmot garments, but its still good. I'm 5'10," 150 lbs and the small is nice and fitted. Good jacket!

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not enough featuresVerified Buyer Reviewed by DirtMerchant from Tennessee on Monday, January 4, 2016The styling and finish was very minimalist, which is nice in a rain jacket, but does not have enough usability features for me to keep it. For example, the only option for closing the front of the jacket is to zip it up. Most jackets in this price range have Velcro tabs down the front flaps to conveniently and quickly close the front, even a few buttons would be a welcome addition to the one at the top and bottom of the zipper. The fit was true, a mid-weight shell, and the back length was adequate, but the sleeves were tight around the forearms and the hood when not in use is awkwardly bulky and in the way with no way to fold it under or anything. If there was more than one photo of the item on the webpage - at least a photo of the inside of the jacket - customers could see what they are looking for and could avoid the return process.
