However, I can say, I am super excited for the colder weather to come through so I can get this party started !! Seems like, for me, there will need to be a break in period. These are heavy duty boots and very stiff, which is what is needed for my intended use. Im hiking out at 7k or greater and taking pretty steep inclines with scrambling and bushwacking on uneven terrain , most of the time. October - May is pretty much snowy, icy or muddy.
The height and ankle support is absolutely fantastic. The sole is tremendously grippy, I might actually have to watch myself with this feature. The lugs are lovely and the lace loops are legit. They are very comfortable to walk around in; I've been just getting around the house in them. They are narrow and a bit longer in the toe box. For me that's a great combination. I want my boot to hug the foot while allowing space in the toe box for comfortable descents and in helping to keep the toes toasty. Usually an 8 in hikers, I got the US 8. They are a perfect fit.
Id been eyeing these up for a while. Theyve got all the specs I needed. With my old pair of Vasques done , I jumped on the opportunity to get these. Hare Krsna,

They are comfortable for short and long hikes, various terrain, and my feet NEVER got wet. After 19 years of reliable use the soles just came off. These are the perfect hiking boots so there was no need for me to look at any other brands. I just purchased the ones that are the newer version of what I had and it is just like having my old boots back!

The fit is perfect. They offer great ankle support when we are out in the forest working. I'm hard on boots and these boots stand up to a lot of wear and tear. The soles offer great traction when hiking and working and don't wear down. Will definitely order these again.

I 'broke them in' on a 6-mile hike with no problem, no blisters. Light and not too stiff, very comfortable for my completely average foot (not too wide, not too narrow, size 8.5). They are true to size; I usually wear an 8.5 and the 8.5 fits perfectly. Love them!
