With every purchase the pants have clearly evolved, my recent purchase the fabric is a little lighter, there is a button in the front instead of a snap. This is not a huge problem for me as I learned to button my clothing many years ago. As for durability of this current purchase, only time will tell. I have ROC pants I purchased 17 years ago that are still wearable, they are not the best looking after that much time but sufficient to wear working around the house mowing the lawn, landscaping, weed wacking, etc.
