4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight protection against the rainVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bryan from New York on Wednesday, July 26, 2017Got to test the Crux first time out with in the Adirondacks when it poured for 20 minutes while we trying to set up our tent. Despite a mad scramble to get everything covered, a great deal of our gear got wet. But this kept me dry and comfortable. My only quibble is with the elastic wrist bands that allowed some water to leak in when I'm sure a velcro closure would have been more protective. Then again, velcro would add to the weight and one of the main reasons I got this was for its weight-saving. And it certainly scores on that front. Incredibly lightweight and packed down to almost nothing -- just what I wanted for backpacking and hiking where I don't pull out rain gear unless it's essential. Didn't get to test how it handles extreme physical exertion but was certainly comfortable scampering around the campsite. Ordered a medium (I take anywhere from size 38 to 40) and while this fits great I wouldn't try to layer too much come colder weather.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Went back to buy moreVerified Buyer Reviewed by Terbear from Colorado Springs on Wednesday, June 14, 2017incredibly light and sturdy,
well made zippers and sealed seams.
The fabric is flexible like a simple windbreaker not the crusty, noisy feel that some waterproof jackets have.
It breathes well, you can forget you are wearing it.
Reinforced shoulders where back pack straps hit.
Folds up into 4x4 inch square in its own pocket for minimal room and weight in the pack.
When the first one was delivered, we saw the quality, then purchased them for the entire family for upcoming trip to Machu Picchu -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great light rain jacket!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Washington on Tuesday, January 24, 2017Haven't had a good downpour to try it out in yet, but it has been great in a few light showers. It's built well and fits slightly slimmer than some of the other jackets I tried, which I like. The only issues are that the hood is a bit large, but I'm guessing that's for helmet sports and you can adjust it down a bit, and the high pockets with slightly stiff weatherproof zippers take some getting used to. Great jacket overall, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

3.0 out of 5 stars. XXL is too trim for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by commuterguy from MD on Wednesday, April 27, 2016The XXL is really an XL...Marmot likes to play tricks like this...more and more... Nevertheless, if you are an XL and buy this XXL, you will be extremely pleased. This is one fantastic jacket!
