PrimaLoft insulation mimics down by trapping tiny pockets of warm air, but will maintain its insulating properties if the jacket happens to gets wet. The light weight nylon fabric readily resists tearing and is bound with elastic at the cuff and a drawcord at the hem to help lock in heat.
