Decent casual hikerVerified Buyer Reviewed by Squatch from Cincinnati on Monday, September 11, 2017I was incredibly impressed with the Lowa Renegade GTX, and once they ran their course I decided to check out the Toledo since it was on clearance. Must be a discontinued model since it's not present on Lowa's website. Free shipping was super fast, and the boots are comfortable and light weight - a bit too light weight for my tastes. It seems obvious to me that these boots would not last long under heavy use, and the material seems prone to collecting debris from the trail, particularly when wet - i.e. Mud, grass, etc. I was intending to use these boots for full time horticultural work, but quickly bought a sturdier boot (Hanwag Banks) that are much higher quality. Still, as a casual boot the Lowa Toledo is comfortable, lightweight, and decent quality, and holds very well on the trail.

This is a light weight boot and it works very well in that role. They fit well and sizing is accurate. They are support your ankle well and are stiff enough to carry a light backpack load. I wouldn't expect them to hold up well in heavy scree etc. but, of course, that's not what they were designed for.

Cheap BootsReviewed by Anonymous from South on Tuesday, April 4, 2017I'm familiar with Lowa quality and know their Renegades as one of the best boots out there, but these don't even come close. The boots are lightweight and pretty comfortable, but once you take a good look at them, you'll realize they are not made well. The sole is a one piece design of foam that you could probably find at Walmart. Once I saw the design, I boxed them back up and shipped them back. For the price, there are much better boots out there. Sierra Trading did a great job of shipping these out quickly and their return/exchange program is phenomenal. I'm going to order a different set of boots from Sierra Trading.

These boots are comfy out of the box and lace up high enough to give me confidence against a twisted ankle, too. They are lightweight but have a thick enough sole that I can't feel the harsh gravel on my local road.
