I have two of these jackets. One in red for backcountry and one in olive that I take hunting. This is a great jacket for all around use in both the backcountry and town. It has been the jacket I've worn when the temp drops and I need the extra warmth while skiing. The DriLite Loft fabric keeps mixed rain and snow from getting the down wet. It is compact enough to put into the p... Read more

I love this jacket. I had a big smile on my face as I put it on because it feels great. Warm as soon as you put it on. I went for a walk in some light rain and was very pleased to see the water beading off. Since it comes with a comprehensive hood, I don't have to worry about a hat. I got the large size and it fits my 6' 2" 200 lbs athletic build perfectly.

I took my annual trip to Alaska in the beginning of March. The weather can be real hit and miss around Anchorage at that time of year. But I enjoy getting a last bit of winter camping in around that time. The mornings were in the mid to high 20's, and I even had some wet snow and rain a couple of mornings. I was plenty warm in this jacket every morning. The rain was comple... Read more

Having done much research on down jackets came across the Lightline based on reviews worldwide. By far the most value for money in terms of quality 700 down for the price ( >10 oz is a ridiculous amount for the price and found in jackets way north of $500) Comfortable down to 0-10F with T-shirt underneath for dog walks during recent Northeast cold blitz. Couldn't be happier wi... Read more

I liked the material and Jacket design.
the fitting is such that it won't feel bulky.
This is more than enough for winter in North Carolina. Haven't tested yet in northern winters. Will update once I do so.
Pros:
- Excellent material. Shell feels tough, and I did not experience down leak.
- Shoulder, arms and hood fitting is really nice.
- Is pretty warm
- 2-way front z... Read more

I purchased M size. It is very warm because it fits well and hides the waist. Because it is not too thick, it also fits in town clothes. Also, unlike other manufacturers' down jackets, the outer material is very strong, so you can hook it up a little.
