Granite gear is my favorite backpack brand.
I live in Seoul. so I bought this pack by overseas purchase.
I was backpacking 20 km over the last weekend and I was very satisfied with the characteristics of the backpack.
There are useful 3 strap on side.
They hold the shape of the backpack tightly.
The top of the backpack is a roll top, which can hold more than the specified... Read more

A bit smaller than expected but rides very comfortably. Plenty of ways to strap and secure gear, although I'm used to more pockets. Will make a great XC Ski day pack and a summer overnighter. Could not pass up the great deal on the price, best pack $ for $ that I've purchased.

When this pack arrived it was so light that I thought that box was shipped empty. Since purchase I have taken this out once for about four hours and it rode very comfortably. One note on the sizing-Despite coming out well in the tall range from my back measurement, at 6'3" I feel that if I were an inch shorter the straps would be set up too tall for me. Note this is not a two s... Read more

I am trying to downsize my pack. I usually haul around a 65L pack. I dont mind it but I always end up bringing too much. I bought a gregory zulu 40 pack last fall but i used it once and although I love all the pockets and the trampoline back but I dont like that its too small on my back and isnt long enough to rest on the top of my arse so all the weight doesnt get evenly distr... This small backpack, packs a big punch. Very well designed for a pack barely over 2 pounds. Great bag for a weekend hike in the back country. Besides for room inside, it has plenty of lash points. The bag sits very ccomfortable, I can barely tell its there. For a pack only weighing barely over 2 lbs. it will hold about 35 lbs. of gear.

Yes, this is a great pack for "lightweight" backpacking. Outfitted with the air beam back pad and removing the lid, this pack weighs in at 2'4". I am 6'3" and usually take a large or long in torso length for a pack. I ordered a long and indeed it is long. Be careful about this. I had to return the pack and took a regular which fits perfectly. The long really is for someone with... Read more
Questions & Answers for Granite Gear Leopard V.C. 46 Backpack
This and the Nimbus are both great options, just make sure to measure your torso length and waist to make sure you get the right size hipbelt and harness! If you need a bit more volume, I would recommend the Blaze AC 60. I have this pack and love it! Let us know if you have any additional questions.
