5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect

I wore this for the first time yesterday, to hike a 14er in Colorado. It kept me warm and snuggly against the wind on the top of Grays Peak! Also smooshed down quite small to be stuffed into my pack when I got warm on the decent. I also love the sleeve length as I’m 5’9” and often jacket sleeves are too short. These are just right!

Liked a lot but runs very small. Returned and no more to order.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. too fitted

I had hoped for a usable jacket, but found it was far too fitted for the purpose (maybe if I were really skinny it would have worked, but I'm just average, and I like to have some air space especially in a water repellant garment. Also the fabric in the white version is a little translucent

This is a nice jacket but way too long for me so I had to send it back. If you are tall, you will probably love it. Thankfully Sierra makes returns easy.

Love the slit on the sides for easier movement.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
