5.0 out of 5 stars. 10 year old Boy CoatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jessica from Ohio on Thursday, November 1, 2018So based on reviews I read I ordered a medium & a small for my average height 10 year old. I didn't want to take my chances and not have it fit. The medium was way too big to even consider keeping...I would say it would fit a 12 year old no problem, but the sleeves were so long that you couldn't see his hands. The small fit perfect . The quality is definitely top notch and what you would expect for a heavy down $250 winter coat. But gotta love getting a great deal from Sierra Trading Post!. Also - my kiddo really liked it on, so no complaint there.

5.0 out of 5 stars. runs largeVerified Buyer Reviewed by FlyGrl from ny on Saturday, September 29, 2018We are trading up from Marmot guide down coats, and this ran maybe 1 size large. My smallish 9 yr old boy was "just right" with the old coat and "roomy" with the same size, small, in this. Should last this and next year. Good quality and soft. He preferred it over the Moondoggy 2 by NF with fleece lining. I bought the Medium for him when he is 11-12 yr old.

5.0 out of 5 stars. awesomeReviewed by FlyGrl from ny on Thursday, September 20, 2018Love Marmot down. I own several of their jackets. The S fits my 9 yr old boy (20th percentile) oversized but manageable. It will probably fit him properly next year. So it runs large. Kept the S and M to grow into. Fantastic price and quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Runs very largeReviewed by BackcountryLuv from Iowa on Thursday, August 13, 2015The jacket is wonderful. The color, warmth, and quality make this a great jacket. The problem is that I ordered a size small for my almost 6 year old and it is more like a men's small. It fits my 11 year old nephew with room to grow! The size chart says it fits a 6-7 year old and my son falls within the weight and height range listed for size small. I'm not convinced that even a size xs would fit my son. I found similar reviews elsewhere. I honestly wonder if vendors are accidentally selling the men's jacket but labeling it as youth. The azure blue color is awesome.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Sizing is offVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anka from NYC on Thursday, April 2, 2015My son has a size L Marmot down coat so I was thinking of getting XL for the next winter. The coat is huge! Disappointed with the fabric as well. It is going back.

1.0 out of 5 stars. This is a junior (kids) size coat that is listed under the men's section.Reviewed by Korey from Michigan on Thursday, February 5, 2015Great coat if it was really a men's XL instead of a junior size. I guess I should look out for the JR on your men's section. Now I will need to pay $7 to ship this back due to a bad listing on the website.
