The athletic, close-fitting cut is perfect to accommodate a light to medium weight puffy midlayer over a base layer without the extra volume that is so common in most other jackets in the Arc'teryx Whiteline series. This jacket picks-up where the discontinued and well-loved Stingray left off. Despite its trimmer fit, the jacket is ingeniously cut to accommodate a full range of movement, including raised arms, without riding-up or feeling constricted, and it uses the same burly N70p Goretex fabric. I was disappointed to see the long-lived Stingray discontinued by the manufacturer, but I'm happy to report that the Iser is an excellent alternative. I am 5'11", 170lbs, 40" chest, 32" waist, dress shirt is 15.5" neck and 34" sleeve and the Iser's size Medium is a perfect fit for my frame. My only gripe is the absence of an exterior chest/Napoleon pocket. Also, two interior drop/dump pockets are always better than one - the Iser only has one, but it'll do. Thanks STP for a great product and the great value.
