5.0 out of 5 stars. Great light coatReviewed by Hkrbkr from Pa on Monday, December 25, 2017This is not a thick coat, but completely blocks wind. Recently wore it mt. biking near freezing with only a thin shirt under it. Cuff closures keep out wind. Light rain beaded on DWR coating. Cut is slim with long enough sleeves for my long arms, hard to find. Anticipating lots of use!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Same as romVerified Buyer Reviewed by namo from charlotte on Saturday, December 9, 2017From everything I have seen this is same as the newer ROM jacket at much less the cost. I actually ordered both and returned the ROM since they were identical. Had to get a L since I wanted layering option, the M for perfect if only wearing a T-shirt. As usual, Sierra trading is light years behind the world on shipping times.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Exactly what I wantedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Newdreamlander from Seattle on Monday, October 16, 2017I was looking for a lightweight jacket for my walk to college during the cool months, something that's not overly warm and breathes really well so I don't get to school a hot, sweaty mess that no one wants to sit next to! This jacket is perfect. It's lightweight, uninsulated, and the Gore Windstopper + (tightly woven) mesh side panels breathe very well. Being windproof means I can dress to the temperature, not the windchill.
This jacket drapes nicely and almost wears more like a comfy hoodie than a jacket. The stretchy fabric is lightweight, maybe lighter than some soft shells as I think another reviewer mentioned. Not a bad thing, just be aware. It helps the jacket pack into a small space. 3 generous zippered pockets outside, one inside the chest. Brushed mesh liner in parts of the chest. Elastic adjustment cords in the waist and hood. Soft fleecy fabric covers the inside of the main zipper for chin comfort. DWR finish does what it's supposed to. I got the green color and it's fabulous: vibrant but not over-the-top.
I'm 6' ~155lbs, long arms and this size medium jacket fits perfectly with room for a couple layers. Just don't try sticking a down jacket underneath it since it's a trim fit. -
2.0 out of 5 stars. Not the usual soft shell qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Northeast from Northeast on Thursday, September 14, 2017I bought this to replace another Marmot soft shell that had served me well and for many years, love the Marmot fit (tall, narrow, long sleeves), but this jacket is way thinner than regular soft shell.
I was looking for a spring and fall jacket , possibly to wear in winter with another layer, but this is strictly a summer layer . Had to return it , but then found what I was looking for in the STP store...another Marmot soft shell, regular thickness and quality -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Not too tight.Verified Buyer Reviewed by The Average American Apparel Shopper from The United States of America on Sunday, September 10, 2017Well-made and have enough room for an insulating layer or two.
Everything is good with this jacket.
