4.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe,Reviewed by Al B from California on Tuesday, October 9, 2018This shoe is amazing for balance and stability. The toe is a little thin so beware. The heal cup could use more padding for hikes longer than 11 miles. Not enough room for any aftermarket insoles I could find. Amazing foot placement and control on inclines and descents. Super dry and not too hot. Very durable.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Full Size SmallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Pocono Mts, PA on Friday, December 8, 2017Seems well made. But runs a full size small (vs what feet measures; maybe 1/2 size small vs most shoes made now). Did not have size I could wear, so cannot comment further, except to add that the color of blue was pretty unusual on the pair I received - not like the pic. So would be hard to match to anything, for anyone who considers that factor. But no one else mentioned that, so maybe it was just this pair.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Hurt My Feet!Reviewed by Charlie from Austin, TX on Tuesday, December 5, 2017The size is correct and the build quality is good. However, the shoes have a big flaw. There is a piece of extra stiff material at the place where the tongue is sewed to the shoe. It's inside the shoe and presses my foot. It hurts my foot right after I put it on. The problem is less severe with the other shoe because the extra stiff material is smaller. I am returning them.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, But NarrowReviewed by dc1 from sf bay area on Thursday, November 30, 2017Just got a pair of these as I had never tried the brand before, and unfortunately they are going back. I was worried they would run narrow, and they do. They look like quality shoes, but not if you have even a bit of a wide toe box as I do.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great hiking shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ron from Massachusetts on Monday, November 13, 2017Nice stiff hiking shoe with a tough sole. They are really waterproof and I don't need to worry about stepping on trail roots and rocks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent approach shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Colorado 14er from Colorado on Friday, November 10, 2017If you love to trek, want all day comfort and support then these are your shoes. I use mine for mountain biking, trekking, hiking and general outdoor use on both mild and rough terrain. Very well made as all Asolo shoes and boots are. They are true to size and very adjustable. Also what a great price. Winner, winner chicken dinner!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Superb Support!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Walk @ Work All Day from CA on Tuesday, June 20, 2017I bought these originally for mountain bike riding, thinking the "approach" designation described the most robust and fairly stiff construction available in a low-top; just what I thought would be good both on and off the bike. Turns out that they work great as recreational mountain bike shoes, but best of all they provide superb foot support. I constantly battle a bum right ankle and these have proven to be the most comfortable footwear I own. I was hoping for a premium product when I ordered these Asolo's at the upper end of the price range and have been very impressed all around.
