5.0 out of 5 stars. Super warm!

Great jacket for cold weather, seems durable too! I accidentally walked through a bush with some thorns on it the first day wearing the jacket and there were no rips! It's too warm for days that are above 30 degrees but I wanted it as a winter belay jacket so it is perfect for that! The sleeves are a bit long but nothing that causes a problem for me.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. If you're usually an extra small, get an extra small
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Madeline from WA on Sunday, January 28, 2018
I got the small, worried it would be too tight in the bust and shoulders, but it's massive. It's so big I wonder if an extra small would also have been pretty roomy. Don't have time to return it (bought it for a trip to a very cold place), but I'm ok with the fit because it gives more room to layer up underneath and everyone's got oversized puffers these days.

As other reviewers have said, the sleeves are quite long. My fiancé walked into the room wearing the coat at one point because we'd been talking about how big it is. He's 6'6" and it took me a long time to twig that he wasn't wearing his own coat because the sleeves are roughly the right length for him. Shouldn't be too hard to have the sleeves altered at some point, though, and for the price you can't really beat the insulation this coat provides.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Light & warm; generous sizing

I'm 5 ft 5 in, 120 lbs with long arms & broad shoulders. Ordered a SMALL. Shoulders fit, arms are long (even on me), overall length is good, but torso between bust and hips is more than ample/too generous for me. Debated on sending it back for an XS but I figured that would be too tight in the shoulders. I wear a thin vest or down vest under it when temps below zero & windchill -20. Zipper is not covered at top so can scratch a bit; ok if wearing a scarf or neck gaitor. Hood is just OK; warm enough but cut too high at forehead and can't tighten it down except using main jacket zipper; a pull cord would have been helpful plus more forehead coverage but it pretty much stays put unless winds very strong. All in all the warmest jacket for its very light weight that I've had. Have had several compliments on it already.
