4.0 out of 5 stars. Weighs out a little.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from korea on Tuesday, January 16, 2018I am interested in som jumper these days.
I bought this product.
I also wondered about Polatec Alpha products.
The weight is rather heavy.
Compared to Atom, it seems to be about double the weight.
The side is breathable so the wind comes in. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. runs smallReviewed by Jon Anthony from Ca on Thursday, December 7, 2017Looks like a great product, great lining and quality. However I normally always wear a large in Marmot and all other makers even with Arc Terx slim products .This must be a QA mistake since Marmot normally does not make trim or slim line products.

5.0 out of 5 stars. excellent active insulationReviewed by Joshua from Western Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 31, 2015i use this jacket daily for winter bike commuting when the temperature dips below about 35. its maintains a my body temperature well. i have yet to overheat and seldom get chilly. i wear it with just a base layer down to about 30 and with a fleece below that. fabric is super comfortable. the hood fits nicely below my helmet without having to adjust the straps. it is wind resistant, but you can feel the wind when it gets gusty. no complaints.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by El Chapito from Denver, CO on Monday, July 27, 2015I looked for a micro down jacket for quite a while to find one that fit me (I'm 6'6" with a 36" waist). Patagonia sleeves are too short and many other brands get far too big in the waist in the larger sizes to make the jacket effective (Mammut has long sleeves but short torso).
This Marmot jacket has a nice fit and adequate length in the arms (I got an XL). It is a nice layer for rigorous activities in colder weather (e.g. hiking, climbing, etc). It is only partially waterproof and not meant for sub zero temps and is designed for use as a layer in those situations so keep that in mind. Overall I am very pleased. Looks great too! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect for what I'm looking for....Verified Buyer Reviewed by Prior Outdoor Retail Buyer from VA on Wednesday, July 1, 2015Price is great... Marmot makes tight products/high quality. Insulation is synthetic, so it lasts and is good for active wear as a layer under shell or by itself. Has a nice inside pocket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Seem well thought outReviewed by Multistate Mountaineer from NY on Monday, March 23, 2015This is a jacket I was hoping to use for mountaineering type activities. I like the design for that because the areas most likely to take some damage such as bottom and outside of the sleeve, shoulder, are a soft-shell material that is tougher than the rest of the jacket. There is some interior mesh to aid with the polartec alpha breath-ability. I will see how that holds up.
I am 6' 0" and 160-165. The medium is a cut fit with room to layer. It weighs 16.5 oz. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Not that warmReviewed by Anonymous from Idaho on Wednesday, March 18, 2015Wore it a few nights for walking my dogs and watching the northern lights. At 33°F with a light breeze, I was chilly. At 41° I was comfortable. As a comparison, I've been out a lot in the low 30s in my Patagonia Nano Puff and been just fine. To me, the 60 gram Alpha in the Isotherm just isn't as warm as the equivalent weight Primaloft.
The draft flap behind the zipper drove me nuts too. One side of the collar stands up and rubs right at the crease of my jaw and neck, while the other lies flat. I have to unzip to about a third of the way down the Napoleon pocket to get it to flop down too, and then it makes giant disco lapels.
It seems like it would make a good jacket for aerobic stuff like trail running, cold-weather biking or nordic skiing, but if you stop moving it's just not enough. If I knew of a jacket like this with a 100 gram Alpha in it, I would buy it, but this one's heading back to STP. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Just the ticket - Light & warm & hooded!Verified Buyer Reviewed by TimbLititz from PA on Monday, March 16, 2015Puffy jacket trend be da**ed. This coat is fully functional and uber comfortable. I bought an XL, thinking it might be a tad big for my 44 chest. It is not. It is not too long in sleeve either. Result, I am very pleased. Weather got warm just after it's arrival, so I can't speak to it's ability to keep me warm to the minus degrees. That said in the 30s I am comfortable and in the 50s I am still comfortable...I like that
