You can wear it as a liner if you need to.. I have long arms and the sleeve length is good, could be a little longer for my liking, but not bad. It has a high collar which is nice. I have been wearing it cross country skiing and it is working for that.

This jacket is perfect! I'm 5'4" 115 lbs and the XS is a great fit. Plenty of stretch to move around & room enough for layers on really cold days... although we have had some cold, rainy winter days I haven't needed to layer. This jacket keeps me very warm & cozy! Love the fleece lined hand pockets!

However, the "Omni-Heat" technology inner liner of the jacket is bright reflective silver. Quite ugly. The reflective fabric probably works to improve the temperature rating by retaining some extra heat, but it's nasty looking. Mine was returned due to this. Sierra Trading probably should have shown a picture of the inner jacket.

The inside is a foil type of metallic sheen which may bother some people, but it's ok for me. The jacket only has one inner zip pocket, and it could use more. The feathers have not really poked out so I am happy with that. A hood would be nice too, but overall good jacket and great price. True to size, order up if you are trying to cram a bunch of layers or bulky sweater under there and get it to zip!

I ordered a small, and it fits fine. I am on the shorter side, and about 125 lbs. There is still room for a sweater under there as well. The inside is a metallic fabric which is a bit interesting!! Looking forward to wearing it for Northeast snow, bring it on!
