5.0 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Red from PA on Tuesday, January 2, 2018I have always bought a higher-end hiking boot for both recreational hiking and my work. I wear them daily for doing landscaping and stone masonry so they have to stand up to hard use, and I expect to get at least a year out of them. Having found a great shoe and consistency in the Asolo brand I had been loyal to them- however I just bought these Scarpas and they are excellent. Great craftsmansship, Gore Tex, and reasonably priced through STP. Great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Disappointed from Tennessee on Tuesday, December 12, 2017After trying 2 other manufactures' hiking boots (Kayland & La Sportiva) which presented "too tight" problems I selected the Scarpa Kinesis Gore-Tex boots. As with my pair of Scarpa mountaineering boots which I purchased a few months ago, this pair fit perfectly. I wear a size 10 (43) shoe and ordered size 10 1/2 for extra toe room and they fit perfectly. I've already hiked quite a few miles in them.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Day-to-day bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Indiana on Tuesday, April 11, 2017Really good boots. They are intended to replace a pair of Scarpa boots I've had for several years. Quality of these boots is what I have come to expect from Scarpa and Sierra Trading Post. Wore them out of the box without break-in. Fit was perfect. Only two small comments. The lacing system has changed from a former pair, making it difficult for me to lace easily. Probably just a matter of becoming acclimatized to the new system. The tongue is gusseted and cut in such a way that debris does not get into the boot. Former Scarpa boot had large upper wings on the tongue that would not stay in place. Very stylish boot. Love 'em.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great Boot!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tim from NY on Thursday, April 6, 2017I had previously tried the Asolo horizon but the tongue gusset was a bit lumpy at the seam and bothered my ankle. These did not. I have not had them out in the woods yet, only around work, but I think they will do just fine. I will likely wear them around work for a few more days to make sure they are good and broken in first. The lacing is a little odd on them, they have eyelets over the arch of your foot, then hooks that lock the laces at the base of the ankle. This is great for lacing up as it holds tension, but they seem to loosen over time (I had thought that you could essentially tie the ankle tighter than your foot or vv, but no such luck). Regardless, its a different feature and one that is helpful for lacing up.
